As a person pushing age sixty, I realized recently that I was able to keep up with rock music through a stretch that includes five decades. Okay so that brings me up to the turn of the millennium, and you know what, I really can't think of too many bands from the last 13 years that really deserve a listen. Franz Ferdinand and the Arctic Monkeys come to mind, but what the hell happened to intense power pop as exemplified by these two tracks from the Posies in 1993?
