Spot the Un-exploded Volcano - Brooklyn Yard 1972

SP SD9 3891 still in old paint will be the lead unit on tonight's Westsider, Brooklyn Yard, Portland, Oregon - July 1972

The Westsider power is laying over in its usual spot as seen from the Holgate Ave. overpass. 3891 was one of those Widow SD9s that had cheated the new paint into the early seventies. Directly above the unit is a brand spanking T-2. Can you spot Mt. St Helens? The volcano has eight more years of its conical Fuji like un-glaciated form before ...... blooey. Other items on short time? The Evergreen car, and open auto-racks.

  2. Mt. St. Helens is visible just to the right of the water tower. The steeple to the right is St. Philip Neri Catholic church on Division.
