SP Lake Yard Transfer - Summer 1973

An Espee Lake Yard transfer slips under the Fremont Bridge, still under construction in this July, 1973 view.

The transfer above was probably classified at Eugene Yard, and is now on Portland Terminal trackage at Vaughn St. On the left is the herder shack, and on the right is the herders car. The Fremont Bridge is still going up. Portland will soon have a freeway lariat around its core.
