A French language documentary, filmed in color. There are some interesting details on the filming in the Wikipedia bio on director John Frankenheimer. There is one very glaring error near the beginning of the movie, when Burt Lancaster throws a switch after he has been kicked off of the locomotive. Wow, that is some throwrod!
