BEDT Circa 1967

A marvelous photo of the BEDT,  from a negative by Steve Hoskins.  I am researching the location.  I wonder what the crewmen are discussing, the next switch move, or the Mets ?


Philip M. Goldstein was kind enough to provide the location for this photo:

"Great image! You are looking at the North 6th Street float bridge from the 5A Yard looking west-northwest-ish... #21 is on track 5A11, with the south face of the North 6th Street Freighthouse against the loco.

From the elevated perspective (looking over the crews heads) The photog is either standing in the western most loading doorway of the North 5th Street Freighthouse or on the pilot of another locomotive on 5A8. #22 is on the south "5 bridge" track.  Photog would be standing almost directly by #29 location.
