MRL "Utility" Job Pulls Bare Tables off the BNSF Great Falls Line

A probable sign of an improving economy, or at least the intermodal boom, MRL last week, went out onto the southern end of the old GN line to Great Falls to retrieve well cars.

Two units head north out of Helena Jct. skirting the Scratch Gravel Hills at Norris Rd.

Looking north from the same spot. Access to the line is limited. This is 5 acre hobby ranch country and many roads are private.

Running along Silver Creek Rd. about 10 miles north of Helena, stored cars are just ahead.

Coupled on. No shots of the trip back into town. They had to walk the train and I had to get back.
