Just A Little Chillier Than Australia's Pilbara

Former BHP SD70ACe 4319 has been on a Mullan Pass helper set since October. This was Helena's second big Fall snowstorm which, fortunately, was not a harbinger of a cold Winter (so far.)

The record highest temperature for the inland Pilbara region in October is 109f, with an average of 95 (link). Gotta wonder if locomotives were sentient beings if they feel relieved being out of the heat, or if they are now freezing their flared radiators off crossing North America's Continental Divide everyday.
