Lashup of the Summer and Maybe of 2018

BNSF's luckiest locomotive.

It's late Friday afternoon August 24, and this WB has been in Helena Yard since at least early Wednesday afternoon. MRL has had several track gangs working up on Mullan Pass, so that is probably the reason for the dwell time.
Departure at last.
Been seeing a lot of red and silver lately. They probably won't survive the next economic recession, nor the SD70MACs.

Two isolated FURX GP38-2s are followed by a GP50 that is cut in.

Out at Tobin, 7777W will meet two EBs. Notice the cross marker beside the road. Not only does Montana have the highest suicide rate in the country, it also has the highest highway fatality rate.
Underway out of Helena Jct.
