Aisle? Window? or Wing?

Junkers G38 Airliner, from Wikimedia.

It must have been mesmerizing (or terrifying,) to be seated in the wing section of this pioneering aircraft. The Ju G38 used a wing/body design that is today being employed in new generation space plane designs. All four engines, of two different types, were accessible by an on-board mechanic.  What must crossed the mind of passengers, when they watched a man in coveralls head for an engine with a wrench and an oil can?  These airliners did see regular service between Berlin and London.
