This photo was taken earlier today. This is as close as my friend Sheldon Perry could get. For some pictures of the equipment taken prior to entombment go here. The Himalayan Blackberry's best friends are birds, which spread their seeds via air mail. Believe it or not, there are still native blackberry vines in Oregon. They are much smaller, the canes don't get more that couple of feet above the ground, the berries are much smaller, but they can be sweeter and more tasty than the huge Himalayan berries.
