SP 9600 W. PTPCX train near Jefferson, Oregon - March, 1995 |
Taken from the double hairpin curve bridge over the SP railroad east of Jefferson, Oregon, the PTPCX sprints down the Willamette Valley on a murky winter day. The old highway bridge has since been replaced and the curves eased. SP GP60 9600 was seen earlier on this blog heading up a train at Spadra, California (link.)
The old highway alignment can easily be seen in the Google Map view below.

Llamaland used to be up around the corner, near the end of the train.
ReplyDeleteWould that be at Marion? There used to be a field with many llama right next to the tracks. The animals were very curious about my Son and I.
