The other car that I think is so singular in its design is the Citroen DS. They have always reminded me of a slice of cantaloupe. Maybe when my ships comes in I will buy one and paint it up as a muskmelon. I once ran into a guy who owned a DS, at a motel in Helper, Utah. My first question for him was about parts availabilty, as I was having problems just getting parts for my Honda Civic then (1979.) He said that he belonged to a Citroen owners club that would air freight any part to him, for a price of course.
