First Brazil Built SD70ACe

Photo from Flavio Lage shows a new 1600mm gauge SD70ACe built in Sete Lagoas, near Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.  Customer is VLI.

    This unit is a broad gauge (1600mm) SD70ACe to run on a dual gauge track in the state of Sao Paulo. A meter gauge one would be eight-axle units. Don't mind about the 10-door diesel house type, it happens because EMD will make the same body for the two models SD70 and 80ACe.

    You're welcome! And I know, now: these VLi engines will work on the new Brazilian railway called Ferrovia Norte-Sul.
