Espee SD-7 Gallery

VanDeKamps Cinnamon Rolls anyone? A pair of SD7s work Taylor Yard trim duty.
SP's SD7s came in several flavors. 1410 lacks the full light package, and has a hump control receiver on the short hood.

1428 still shows evidence of its former dual service capability, with the extra water tank, and a  steam generator  stack, although the boiler may have been removed by now.
Extra 1503 W. ?  The white class lights are burning bright while the unit sits a LA Diesel.
Laying over at City of Industry
1529 is seen at Roseville Yard, the other big concentration of SD7s besides Taylor.

  1. The item on the roof of 1410's short hood is the receiver for the cab signals for the Hump Signals. It was commonly found on SP locomotives regularly assigned to hump yards that used this type of signal system, such as Eugene, Taylor and Englewood.
