1968 Revisited

Dynamic Duo, Corvallis had two S-12s assigned to it. One held down the Corvallis Switcher, and the other operated on the Monroe, and Flynn Turns. This was back in the 16 hours of service days, and these trains were operated by one crew.

Baldwin S-12 2128, which would later serve Koppel Bulk Terminals in Long Beach, California. Note the USLX Evans Products boxcar. Evans had a large Evanite plant (a kind of particle board,) just south of Corvallis, on a spur that left the Westside Branch just south of the bridge over the Mary's River.
