Crying Out to be Modeled

Lake Oswego, Oregon - 1986

This photo is from an upcoming feature on the Lake Oswego wood chip rail/barge transfer operation, with photos and information from Sheldon Perry. I thought that the above photo would be great inspiration for a small shelf layout. Such layouts are limited with what you can pull off scenically, but with the different levels of track shown here, a modeler could really add some visual interest, as well as some operating variety. One could even use the lower level lead as a convenient excuse to dive under the table and into a small staging yard.
