Accidental REM Jag Monday

Started out watching Driver8 so I could post it on Altamont Press, and just let YouTube takeover, and got to this song off of Green, and a video I had never seen before. Great place, wherever this was filmed.

Driver 8 - REM - Clifton Forge, Virginia

Seeing this REM video, the railway portions of which were filmed on the old C&O yard in Clifton Forge, Virginia, was a big reason I made a three week trip to the Appalachian States in 1991. The engine facility is now closed. You gotta love the part where Michael Stipe says he can't afford lantern batteries! What was Michael doing with all his money anyways? One thing in this video that you won't see much of today is the AAR Type B truck as seen on one of the GE units. Also, BTW, attention YouTube; I played nice, and embedded the Vevo version of this video and not an unauthorized copy.
