SP SPINS Diagrams for the Albany Area

Southern Pacific Industrial Numbering System was formulated to make SP's industrial trackage identifiable by TOPS (Total Operations Processing System.) It seems that computers have a problem with terms like "that spur where Bigglesworth derailed the caboose."  The scans above are from the 1979 book.  There is some really interesting information on SPINS here.  BTW, if you haven't visited Wx4's SP website, you are in for a treat.
