OE Yard - Albany, Oregon - 1973

It is 1973, and the Willamette Valley is still the home of numerous smaller sawmills,  this one at the sound end of the former Oregon Electric yard in Albany, Oregon.  The mill pond is now filled in, and the old Nebergall meat packing plant on the left was still in business. The SP&S chip cars are similar in design to the SP GC Gons, with mixed steel and plywood construction.
