Death Row - Ulm Montana

Corrugated steel, disconnected from everyday life.


I think that if there is a rail line worth following for scenic interest upon which you have essentially no chance of seeing a train, it would be BNSF's former GN Great Falls to Helena line. Wolf Creek Canyon and stretches along the Missouri are spectacular. If there were trains at these locations, you could figure several years to get all the shots you wanted.



At Ulm stand three steel elevators, once the center of local commercial life, not only is their trackage now disconnected, but the line itself is severed at the north end of the little town.
