All of these photos were edited with Picasa, and they are all hosted in Picasa Web Albums. Picasa is obviously not Photoshop, or Gimp, but it is a very useful photo editor, and its interface with Windows is perfectly seamless. Now we have to endure the tyranny of the mobile user with Google's decision to jettison Picasa in favor of Google Photos, Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
Google, Yahoo and others have been dumbing down their photo posting sites for some time, presumably to pander to the mobile device / casual photo taker / viewer crowd. Hard to call this demographic even 'amateur' photographers as they don't complain about feature takeaways .....
ReplyDeleteHaven't used the Picasa Windows app in a while, but my usually limited needs are satified with the cross-platform XnView.
