The Sag at Helena East and a Summer Monsoon

Standing at Carter St. at the east end of Helena Yard, one can watch the headlight of a westbound disappear as it traverses East Helena, only to pop back up at Helena East.

Still in the grips of the forest fire pall, Helena got a brief break a week ago last Saturday, when a monsoonal thunderstorm crept up from the South. Just to the north of town a curtain of brown smoke remained in the atmosphere, but underneath, a dome of fresh air, and, and you will see in the next post, a full rainbow.
