Chalkings, Scribblings, and Drollery on the Rails

In the interstices between expanses of spray paint, an older artform of boxcar chalking persists, and even flourishes today. All of these photographs were taken in the last few months at Helena, Montana, and most of these are on BNSF grain cars:
