R.I.P Mike Nichols

Instead of the famous Van Doren game show scandal, they just might have well been talking about Honey Boo Boo today.

I grew up with Nichols and May. I used to listen to then on NBC's Monitor Radio in the early Sixties with my parents. I probably did not get all of the humor, but I certainly understood, how both hip and subversive they were for the time. I even used to do my version of their doctor-nurse surgery sketch for my classmates in grade school; "Scalpel.......sponge....scalpel....sponge....scalpel...oops!"
