Hazards of Diesel Spotting on Google Earth

Ah, armchair railfanning!  Well, actually it's laptop, propped up in bed railfanning. The above screenshots from Google Earth of Sterling, Colorado, show some of the curious features of the Google Street View image rendering software. In the top image you can see how the "privacy bot"  blurs out the cab of the second unit,  probably because if fits a visual algorithm for a car windshield or something. By moving around a bit though, the blur disappears, and zooming in (bottom,) we get a very acceptable image where we can read both road numbers.
