Former BN C30-7 Feels the Kiss of Snow in the (sub) Tropics

Curitiba P.R. Brazil
Flavio Lage sent me this photo today with the note:

"I never thought one day see photo of a locomotive partially covered with snow, hanging on a rail of a tropical country. This happened here in southern Brazil. This locomotive owned by the Burlington Northern Railroad and its origin circulated often covered with snow."

Curitaba is only 25 degrees south of the Equator. Los Angeles is 34 degrees north of the Equator.
