Puget Sound and Pacific - Hoquiam and Aberdeen, Washington - October 2002

Ex UP caboose kept at Hoquiam for reverse moves on street trackage.

Drawbridge across the Wishkah River in Aberdeen, Washington. The confluence with the tidal Chehalis River is just beyond the bridge.  The patio on the right is part of Breakwater Seafoods and Chowder,  whose fish and chips I highly recommend.

After an afternoon's work switching industries and making up its train, the three ex IC GP10s get their train out of Aberdeen and head back for Elma.

These GP10s put on quite a sound show getting out of town.

The Puget Sound and Pacific had been sold from the Park Sierra Railgroup to RailAmerica in January of 2002, but a trip to chase the Hoquiam train in October of that year was gratefully all cream and green. I have not back back since, unfortunately.
