Enchanted Pepsi - April 1992

Amtrak 514 with No. 3 the WB Southwest Chief at Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico. The track the right is the line to Belen and El Paso. The Sandia Mountains form the backdrop.

Amtrak No. 3 heels on to the mainline at Dalies, New Mexico, home to giant jack rabbits. April, 1992 - The signal bridge is now a goner.

Recipe for Enchanted Pepsi:

1 12oz can Pepsi
6 oz Mescal
1 Worm from Mescal Bottle

Take Pepsi can and pour half the contents on the ground. Add the 6 ounces of Mescal, garnish with worm. Repeat as needed, then go watch Zozobra burn. Pass out on the streets of Santa Fe.  Get back to ABQ in time for Sunday brunch at the UNM dining hall. Go to bed.

BTW: The Wikipedia article makes no mention of the public drunkenness at the Fiesta de Santa Fe. Maybe that has been cleaned up since the 70's.
