If you listen carefully you can here both Walnut and the City of Industry mentioned. Frank Zappa, of course, grew up in the Lancaster area, as did Don VanVliet a.k.a. Captain Beefheart.

No Pronghorns left today in the Antelope Valley. They were hunted out by 1880. At the end of the last Ice Age they must have been quite plentiful. What is now Rosamond Dry Lake was then connected to Muroc Dry Lake forming one large water filled Holocene Lake.
