This video is a clip from Jean Renoir's 1938 film La Bete Humaine (The Human Beast.) If offers a marvelous glimpse of the French railway system just two years away from Nazi occupation. Jean Renoir was the son of Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
