Indian passenger trains negotiate sections of transition from AC to DC catenary. This practice is no longer needed as the DC sections have all been converted to AC.
Something very similar in Denmark, but due to different AC voltage systems. Thanks to Speeder Kevin for his post on Altamont Press. The pantograph of locomotive 3105 is seen coming down at 1:38 in the video below.
