BNSF GP39M 2810 switching at Vancouver Center, WA June 5, 2012 |
A locomotive with quite a history. BNSF GP39M 2810 is on its second coat of green and orange paint, but this time it is in the new image. The unit was born as C&EI GP-30 239. It then became L&N 1058, then Seaboard Systems 1389 before it was rebuilt as a GP39M, and became BN 2810. It is now equipped for remote control, and has truck style a/c on the roof, but it still looks like a GP-30.
