In the photos above, SP's All Cities Local is seen making its way to Riverside, over former Pacific Electric trackage. Stately palms and orange groves line the route. The second photo shows the train turning west to cross the Santa Fe San Jacinto Branch, with the signal for the crossing shown in the third photo. The bottom photo shows the San Jac crossing over the PE line. As can be seen from the Google map below, the area today is less than scenic.
