Lunch With Jimmy Stewart and LS&I RS-1 1002

Screen Captures from Otto Preminger's 1959  Anatomy of a Murder

James Stewart and Arthur O'Connell are having a bit of a time peeling a couple of hard boiled eggs at a little lunch stand in Marquette, Michigan. The entire movie was filmed on location in the Upper Peninsula. The ore docks are visible on the right, and a brakeman stands on the caboose platform for a reverse move.
That ore bucket must have been moving pretty fast.

LS&I RS-1 1002 enters the scene.
It took a lot of tries to get the number of  1002 in the screen print.
Go here for a color photo of the unit taken at Marquette.
Next, the two C&NW scenes in the film.
